Forrest Gump. When I was in China on the All-American Ping Pong team, I just loved playing ping-pong with my Flexolite ping pong paddle.

A League Of Their Own. Oh, you zip it, Doris! Rogers Hornsby was my manager, and he called me a talking pile of pigshit. And that was when my parents drove all the way down from Michigan to see me play the game. And did I cry?
Yeah! NO. And do you know why?

day 27!

Day 27 – A picture of you last year and now and how have you changed since then?


Last year. . .
1. I was planning a wedding.
2. I was a happy Jazz fan.
3. I lived with 6 girls who I'm still good friends with.
4. Had one job.
5. I was pretty happy.
6. I used to eat string cheese and cold cereal for dinner.


This year. . .

1. I'm planning summer vacations and I'm now married for time and all eternity.
2. I'm now a depressed Jazz fan.
3. I live with one boy.
4. I now have 3 jobs, Photo, Avalon Hills, and Happy Sushi.
5. I've never been this happy. Life has never been this hard, but I have never felt the Lord this strongly in my life. I'm so happy to have the blessings of eternal marriage in my life.
6. I've lost 15 pounds since last year. Yay finally! See you later freshmen 15. . only took me 5 years. haha.
7. I now have to learn to cook a normal meal because I have someone else to worry about. Haha. No more wheat thins and cottage cheese for dinner.
8. I love Ryan more everyday.
9. I love and care about my family more everyday.
10. Life is good!

day 24!

Day 24 – A photo of something that means a lot to you.

Adoption.

Mikey and me were always meant to be family. I remember the day Mikey came to our home I knew he was special. I loved him INSTANTLY! My mom always tells me how attached I was to him and how I would spend day after day in his room feeding him, playing with him, and just loving him. We fought for Mikey for 2 years and it was a miracle that we were able to adopt him. Me and Mikey Moo have been BEST buds since day one. The Lord knew we needed each other and we are completely meant to be brother and sister. I really do consider him one of my best friends. How lucky am I? Who can really say that about their 12 year old brother? We laugh so hard together and I hope he never grows out of my hugging him and kissing his cheek every time I see him. I love this boy! I love even more how close him and Ryan have become. It's so cute to see my 2 favorite freckled cuties together. I'm so thankful for adoption and the blessings it has brought our family. My parents and I were talking about adoption and how excited I am for us to adopt one day. My mom has told me that some of her friends were skeptical of her adopting and one said to her, "you can't save the world Vandi, why are you trying to?" she replied saying, "well I can save him."

If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one.

Day 23 – 15 facts about you.

1. I'm a truck and SUV kinda girl. The only thing cars are good for is good gas mileage.

2. When I was in 1st grade I had a crush on Bill Clinton, and my bus driver Will.

3. I still want my mommy when I'm sick.

4. I'm a hard worker. I thank my parents for that.

5. I'm loud. I talk loud, laugh loud, and I even walk loud. I swear my shoes are always squeaking or something. haha. "Be LOUD, let your colors show." -The Avett Brothers.

6. This past year has been the best year and hardest year of my life.

7. I love dogs. I'm excited to raise my kids with lots of doggies around. I loved growing up with all of our doggies.
RIP Cody, Tasha, Chainsaw, Grizzwald, Zoe and Mac. I miss you! LONG LIVE MUSHU!!!

8. I remember as a kid always sneaking into Mandi's room and trying on all her clothes, perfume, listening to her CD's. . Pretty much just destroying her room. Haha. I've just always wanted to be like her. And still do.

9. I hate cats. Well not all Cats, I loved my cats Sassy, Shadow, and Katlin's cat Grunt. Grunt was a good cat. Katlin would step on her, squeeze the crap out of her, pretty much do anything to her and she still was so sweet to us. I think most cats are grumpy, stuck up, and just so creepy. Ryan's parent's cat Killer wants to kill ME. I swear.

10. Riding my bike was my favorite past time as a kid. I remember us begging my dad to "get the bikes down!" when Spring rolled around. I still have a scar on my right knee from when I fell on my bike the first day I rode without training wheels.

11. I was baptized in a river by my bishops house in Etna, Wyoming. My mom always says that the cows were my witnesses. Haha.

12. Adoption has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. I can't imagine life without Tony, Megan , and Mikey. I'm a proud big sister.

13. I think my parents are the strongest people I've ever met. Everything good about me is because of them.

14. I miss my big brother Clay, my best friend Jodie, and my sweet little Hallie Mae.

15. I still can't believe how lucky I am that Ryan chose me.

You made me lose my voice. I like my voice. I like being loud and being able to laugh without hacking. My throat is sore, my head is fuzzy, and my nose is runny. I don't have time for you right now. On a more serious note. I have been hurt recently. . but who hasn't? People hurt each other all the time. Isn't that sad? I hurt people too. Which makes me even more sad. This is all I have to say.

Being ACTIVE in the great OUTDOORS. Biking, running, swimming, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, snowmobiling, camping, fishing, hunting(well following my brothers and dad around while they hunt), k just anything outside! I love working out and running outside in the heat is my favorite.



Speaking of heat. . . .Sunshine. Sunshine. Sunshine. I'm a sunshine kid. Iwas born June 28th, the sunniest day of the year. It has never rained on my birthday.

Last but not least. My Ryan. I really am so lucky to have him. He makes me so HAPPY and marrying him was the best decision I've ever made. Seeing Ryan happy makes me happy, I would do anything for this stud muffin and he would do anything for me!

There are so many things that make me happy. I'm so lucky and so grateful! The one thing that makes me the most happy is seeing people I love happy. (seeing them hurt and sad is probably the worst thing ever) but I just love my family. They are everything to me. You Hansen's drive me crazy sometimes but wow I'm lucky to have you! xoxo. Day 18 – Something you crave a lot.



Pizza and Clam Chowder! These two things always sound good. Seriously. (My mom's clam chowder is by far my favorite) Luckily I had pizza and clam chowder yesterday. I went out to eat with my cutie co-worker friends Kristi and Lisa (see pic below) to Elements. It's a pretty fancy pants restaurant. So lucky for me they had some "Sami food." Num Num yummy!

Day 14 – A TV show you’re currently addicted to.



We LOVE it. I'm going to miss watching this with Clay and Jodie. We always watched it in their basement when we went to Star Valley. I guess we will have to watch a bunch when I'm in Austin in April huh guys? Seriously. This is the best show ever. WATCH IT AND LAUGH YOUR PANTS OFFFF!
