Day 24 – A photo of something that means a lot to you.
Adoption.
Mikey and me were always meant to be family. I remember the day Mikey came to our home I knew he was special. I loved him INSTANTLY! My mom always tells me how attached I was to him and how I would spend day after day in his room feeding him, playing with him, and just loving him. We fought for Mikey for 2 years and it was a miracle that we were able to adopt him. Me and Mikey Moo have been BEST buds since day one. The Lord knew we needed each other and we are completely meant to be brother and sister. I really do consider him one of my best friends. How lucky am I? Who can really say that about their 12 year old brother? We laugh so hard together and I hope he never grows out of my hugging him and kissing his cheek every time I see him. I love this boy! I love even more how close him and Ryan have become. It's so cute to see my 2 favorite freckled cuties together. I'm so thankful for adoption and the blessings it has brought our family. My parents and I were talking about adoption and how excited I am for us to adopt one day. My mom has told me that some of her friends were skeptical of her adopting and one said to her, "you can't save the world Vandi, why are you trying to?" she replied saying, "well I can save him."
If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one.

Yes, Steph and I were just talking about what a sweetie Mikey turned into! Adoption is so great.
Sami you are my role model! You have the most positive attitude of anyone I know and it is amazing. I agree Mikey is pretty cool now days, especially since he'll let me hug him.
