i'm in love.

I'm officially in love with Photography. Here's a couple of my assignments that were due this week. I'm learning so much already with school and I'm so excited. :) The first 3 pictures we were supposed to go completly against anything we would ever take pictures of. Go against any preconceptions we have of photography.. I had a hard time with this one. I'm finding myself to be a very closed minded photographer. I rarely think landscape shots are interesting and hate close up pictures of flowers. My favorite pictures to take are of people and I love lots of color in my pictures. We had to explain to the class today what our preconceptions were and why we shot the photographs we did and how they went against what we would usually take pictures of. It was a great learning experience to take pictures of things that I never would think to take pictures of and I hope to always more of an open mind when I'm shooting. This assignment taught me so much! My teacher laughed at my pictures which scared me at first.....but he said that somehow even taking pictures of trash I still managed to get a lot of color in my pictures and they still had a happy feel to them. Haha. So the second set of pictures I decided to do black and white. I'm not a big fan of black and white but I like the dramatic mood it gives the next set of pictures. Black and white pictures are now growing on me. I love the emotion that it portrays. The last three of Kase coloring we had to make a story with 3 pictures. I thought they turned out pretty good.. But then again any picture with Kase in it I'm probably going to like. haha. Anyways.. Enjoy! (hopefully) Thanks Katie and Kase for being my beautiful models.
